First Church Family,
Happy New Year – 2024! I’m at my desk wondering how many times I’ll still write ’23 on January checks and documents.
What a whirlwind the past weeks have been… and how wonderful they were! I’m not sure I’ve ever enjoyed as meaningful an Advent or Christmas!
Thank you to all of those who made that possible, both volunteers and staff! It takes an incredible number of persons to fulfill our desire to offer both powerful ministries and worship services. God worked through us to bring others closer to Him all during the season.
And now, we move into a new year.
This coming Sunday, we will be back on our regular schedule (9:00AM modern worship in the CLC and 11:00AM traditional in the Sanctuary) and celebrate Epiphany (when the Magi came to worship the newborn King.)
In coming weeks, we will recall Herod’s response to a new king being born in his country; and then we will remember Jesus’ Baptism.
I pray that you do whatever it takes to seek to continue to walk with the LORD over these coming days.
New Year’s blessings,
Pastor Dave
