The Chancel Choir is a dedicated, fun group that loves God and loves to sing. Jonathan Beal is our choir director and Joseph Franklin is organist. Both are highly talented.
Is that not a gorgeous group? We usually don’t have that many empty chairs, but I think someone was expecting you to visit. Come join us. Hey, by the way: one of the people in this picture was named Best Musician in Caldwell County for 2017. Can you guess which one?
We do some very interesting music – both contemporary and traditional. Sometimes we really jazz it up.
Make a joyful noise to the Lord, all the earth.”
Psalm 100:1
Or, as Jon says, when in doubt, sing loud.
Besides singing in the chancel – that’s a fancy word for the area around the altar – we also go on road trips and have fun outings. This is a great part of the country for that because there are so many beautiful places to choose from.
This is a mother and daughter that sing in our choir. Both are great singers. The mother loves to sing swing, and – get this – sometimes she sings it in church. I told you, we like to jazz things up!
The Choir practices on Wednesday nights at 7:00pm in the Sanctuary. Come join us! For more information, contact choir director Jonathan Beal.
