First Church Family:
Please notice the offerings below, in relation to Yokefellow’s Drive-Thru Food Drive on Saturday, and also the request for volunteers on July 14 for the Blackberry Festival.
I’m planning to be a part of both of those efforts and hope we have good First Methodist responses.
Also, please know that we continue to be needed (especially on Saturday mornings) to volunteer at our Habitat House project (2614 Friendswood – off of 321A South).
This Sunday in worship, we will celebrate and affirm our high school graduates. Please remember: Locke Riddle, Ross Watts, Abby Kidder, Joseph Franklin, Zach Crowe, Rylee Carter, Jace Bumgarner, and Cody Barlowe in your prayers.
Hope to see you Sunday!
Blessings,
Pastor Dave

YOKEFELLOW DRIVE-THRU FOOD DRIVE
Yokefellow is sponsoring a Drive-Thru Food Drive, this Saturday, June 10, 10:00AM – 2:00PM. Both Yokefellow and the Lenoir Soup Kitchen really count on this springtime re-stocking to get shelves ready for the summer months. Take this opportunity to help cover this deficit this Saturday.

COMMUNITY OUTREACH OPPORTUNITY
We have been asked to volunteer as a group for a time slot at the 2023 Blackberry Festival which runs July 14 and 15. Approximately eight people are needed: two (2) for the information booth and six (6) to serve as ‘vendor floaters’. That involves checking on the vendors in a specific block and seeing to their needs (water, bathroom break, etc.). You would be expected to cover your block three to four times to welcome the vendors, visit or help if needed. Our time slot is the first of the festival from 12:30PM to 4:00PM on Friday, July 14. If the group sign-up time isn’t good for you, we can place you in another slot! Please call or text Pastor Dave to sign up!
