God Is Good

First Church Family:
     I pray that you are enjoying fall! I had my first fire in my outside fire pit last night. God is good, all the time!
     What wonderful in-person worship we experienced on Sunday, and we had good numbers online! There was a great spirit about our place! And there were so many children at the 11:00am children’s sermon, and in the nursery—an answer to prayer and something to build upon.
     Continue to pray with me about the future of our church. We are preparing for future generations.
     This weekend, I will be realizing a life-long dream: travelling to Green Bay, Wisconsin with my son, Christopher, for a Packers game! In my absence, our Tara Blake will speak, and our Jim Sponenberg will assist. Both are incredible communicators. I look forward to watching the services later online.
     Please continue to have a few outreach events on your minds, especially our “Thanksgiving Bless This Meal” Saturday, November 19, when we will provide full Thanksgiving meals for impoverished families in Caldwell County.
     Last year, over a couple of weeks, we provided meals for 204 families. This year we are preparing for 150 families. The cost to sponsor a family is $33. I will be making my extra contributions to that wonderful outreach event. I hope you will join me. (Make note on your check: “Thanksgiving Bless This Meal”.)
     Though it’s hard to believe, we are moving into the final weeks of 2022. Please pray for all of our local churches as we continue to recover and build back from COVID losses.
     I’ve never been more excited about our future. Thank you for your continued stewardship and commitment.
