First Church Family,
I pray that you had a blessed Memorial Day Weekend. That holiday marks the unofficial beginning of summer.
And last Sunday, we began our summer worship series on the “Promises of God.” In ensuing weeks, we will take a close look at some of the important things God promises us in the Scriptures.
Topics will include promises made about: eternal life, heaven, the Holy Spirit, God’s presence, rest for the weary, peace in our lives, and God’s guidance, among others.
I remind you that we are fully open for worship and do not require that you make a reservation for your attendance. In-person attendance is climbing steadily. Though we are marking off some spaces, know there is plenty of room for all who would want to worship with us.
Also, remember that both Sunday morning services continue to be broadcast online.
This past Sunday, two of our adult Sunday School classes resumed meeting, and another one will have its first class this coming Sunday.
I am excited about the prospects for us to be together across the summer, in worship and other ways. God is with us!
Blessings,
Pastor Dave
P.S. Notice that the Easter lilies Danny has planted over the past couple of years around the church are ready to burst into bloom. We are an Easter People every day!
